A few minutes after drafting offensive lineman Germain Ifedi with the 31st overall pick in the first round Thusday night, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said he would start his career at right tackle.
‘He played a lot of right tackle and the fact that he has played ome guard helps out with flexibility,’’ Carroll said. “But we see him being a right tackle candidate. We’ll see how it works out.’’
By Monday, though, the plans for Ifedi had changed, with Carroll telling Pat Kirwan during on SiriusXM NFL Radio that Ifedi will start out at right guard.
