The Seahawks could lose a second-round draft pick for failing to report a serious knee injury to cornerback Richard Sherman, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen
Mortensen reported Thursday that the NFL is considering penalizing Seattle for a violation of the league's injury reporting policy after Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll revealed in a radio interview Monday morning that Sherman played through an MCL injury in the second half of the season.
In a press conference later in the day, Carroll admitted the team might have made a mistake by not designating the injury.
"Honestly, I didn't realize we hadn't revealed it," he said.
