Long snapper Clint Gresham on day Seahawks cut him: ‘Worst breakup ever’

"All I wanted to do was crawl into a hole and not feel what I was feeling," Gresham wrote about the phone call telling him he was being cut from the Seahawks.

Clint Gresham had just finished the first year of a new three-year contract with the Seahawks, so he was shocked when he was waived from the team in March. The long snapper vividly remembers the call coming in from Seahawks general manager John Schneider, and he recently shared his memories of the day on his personal blog.

Gresham, who was originally signed as a free agent in August of 2010, had played in all 96 regular-season games for Seattle over the previous six years.
