Game-By-Game Prediction Of The Seattle Seahawks' Record For 2016

The Seattle Seahawks missed the Super Bowl for the first time in three seasons last year, but they've set the goal of returning this season. We got our first look at Seattle's road to the playoffs when the schedule was released last month, and while they probably won't go undefeated, they're expected to have a successful season. Here's a game-by-game prediction of the Seahawks schedule this year:

Week 1 - vs Miami Dolphins
Prediction: WIN (1-0)

Miami won't be on the same page in their first game under a new head coach, and playing in Seattle isn't going to help matters.

Week 2 - at Los Angeles Rams
Prediction: WIN (2-0)

Seattle's defense going up against Jared Goff in his second career game should make for a turnover-fest for the Legion of Boom.

Week 3 - vs San Francisco 49ers
Prediction: WIN (3-0)

San Francisco will be better under Chip Kelly, but this is still a big rivalry game for Seattle. They won't lose.

Week 4 - at New York Jets
Prediction: LOSS (3-1)

New York narrowly missed out on the playoffs last season, and they'll be playing with a motivated effort to get there. It would be an upset, but I think this will be Seattle's first loss of the season.

Week 6 - vs Atlanta Falcons
Prediction: WIN (4-1)

Atlanta's defense was one of the worst in the league last year, and Matt Ryan is prone to throw a lot of interceptions when he is pressured - which the Seahawks are excellent at.

Week 7 - at Arizona Cardinals
Prediction: LOSS (4-2)

Arizona has been Seattle's biggest competition in the division for the past few years, and that will be the same this year. Arizona will view this as their opportunity to assert themselves in the NFC West again.

Week 8 - at New Orleans Saints
Prediction: WIN (5-2)

Playing the SuperDome is an extremely tough task, but their defense is absolutely atrocious. Russell Wilson and Thomas Rawls will exploit that for big games.

Week 9 - vs Buffalo Bills
Prediction: WIN (6-2)

This is Seattle's only Monday night game of the year, and it's at home. There's no way the Seahawks lose.

Week 10 - at New England Patriots
Prediction: LOSS (6-3)

The only thing in the NFL that's as close to being as difficult as winning in Seattle is winning in Foxborough - especially on a Sunday night.

Week 11 - vs Philadelphia Eagles
Prediction: WIN (7-3)

Philadelphia is going through a bit of a rebuilding process, and they're expected to take a step back this year. They don't have enough talent to beat the Seahawks.

Week 12 - at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Prediction: WIN (8-3)

Tampa Bay is a promising young team led by Jameis Winston, but they're one of the most penalized teams in the league. That will kill them against the Seahawks.

Week 13 - vs Carolina Panthers
Prediction: WIN (9-3)

Winning in Seattle two years in a row isn't going to happen for the Panthers.

Week 14 - at Green Bay Packers
Prediction: LOSS (9-4)

This will be yet another marquee game, but after beating the Panthers, they'll fall at Lambeau Field.

Week 15 - vs Los Angeles Rams
Prediction: WIN (10-4)

See: Week 2. The Legion of Boom will have another field day against Goff.

Week 16 - vs Arizona Cardinals
Prediction: WIN (11-4)

Just like with Carolina, winning two years in a row in Seattle isn't going to happen for the Cardinals.

Week 17 - at San Francisco 49ers
Prediction: WIN (12-4)

The Seahawks might be tempted to rest their starters in this game, but they'll probably need a win to secure a bye (or home-field advantage) in the postseason.
