By signing as an undrafted rookie free agent, Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls has taken an unconventional — yet sometimes very successful — route into the NFL and onto Seattle’s star-studded roster.
With Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin non-participants in the Seahawks’ OTAs and minicamp and third-year back Christine Michael getting limited touches with what Seattle head coach Pete Carroll described as a tight hamstring in mid-June, Rawls got a majority of the carries.
