3 reasons the Seattle Seahawks can win the Super Bowl next season

32 NFL teams head into this summer with visions of a Super Bowl dancing in their heads. The Seattle Seahawks have as good a chance as anybody to turn those visions into a reality. Here's 3 reasons the Seattle Seahawks can win the Super Bowl next season.

1. Russell Wilson leading the charge

Russell Wilson's athleticism and on-field decision making are fantastic enough. However, it's his unflappable confidence and beyond-his-years veteran presence which puts this team over the top. There's no quarterback in this league who goes about his business quite like Russell Wilson does, and that uniqueness is essential to what this whole Seahawks operation is all about.

2. Pure defensive dominance

Byron Maxwell may be gone, but one man does not make a defense. Recent signing Cary Williams will do an admirable job in his stead, adding another layer of consistency to the most talented defense in all of the NFL. Seattle gave up 541 fewer yards than their next closest competition (Detroit) in 2014. With a giant offseason-sized chip on Richard Sherman and the crew's shoulders following last year's Super Bowl heartbreak, that gap could easily get bigger.

3. Pete Carroll. That is all.

"I would say (Carroll is) like playing for Willy Wonka," Michael Bennett said recently. "He's crazy. He wants to be young. He's just one of those guys who's always upbeat and just wants to have a good time because he lets you be yourself."

Players don't just want to play for a coach like Pete Carroll. Players want to WIN for a coach like Pete Carroll. He builds cohesion even in the face of chaos, and he'll once again be the Seahawks' true Weapon X this upcoming season.
