Sporcle Friday: Mariner Shortstops Since A-Rod

As we saw last week when reminiscing on the Mariners’ center fielders since Ken Griffey Jr. skipped town, the team has enjoyed varying success in trying to catch lightning in a bottle for a second time. Mike Cameron and Franklin Gutierrez, the two people who have played center field for Seattle most often since Griffey bailed, are better than any of the players on this list.

I would say six of these shortstops are unquestionably glove first, two were undeniably in there for their bat, and the rest sort of occupy the space between. Only one of these fellas made the All-Star team as a Mariner shortstop.
