There are many benefits to owning a hot tub, but having one requires the right set up - most notably, the electrical demands needed to make one run.

For folks facing this problem - or those who prefer a nomadic lifestyle - Floris Schoonderbeek has created a hot tub that can travel with you. Called the Weltevree Dutchtub, it’s a portable, stand-alone basin powered by a wood-burning stove.

The elegant half-sphere weighs around 165 pounds and holds 171 gallons of water - enough for four people to comfortably enjoy it.

To warm the water, the tub connects to its heating system via metal hoses and derives energy from the coil structure that’s filled with lit wood.
