TORONTO — Seattle Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves:
- Roenis Elías (roh-EH-niss eh-LEE-ahs), (#53), LHP, selected from Triple-A Tacoma.
- Drew Steckenrider, RHP, placed on restricted list.
Seattle’s Major League, 40-man, remains full at 40 players.
Elías, 33, has a 4.30 ERA (7 ER, 14.2 IP) in 11 games (1 start) with 11 strikeouts for Triple-A Tacoma this season. Elías has not appeared in the Majors since the 2019 season after missing the 2020 and 2021 seasons due to injury (left flexor strain in 2020, “Tommy John” surgery in 2021).
