Given the slimmest of margins to work, the four relievers — unique in their own way and pitching style — preserved Seattle’s 4-3 triumph over Oakland A’s on Monday night at the Oakland Coliseum.
Cishek escaped his own self-made wild ride in the ninth inning to pick up his seventh save of the season. After a wild pitch on a swinging strike three with two outs allowed the tying run to reach base, Cishek also put the winning run on base via a walk.
