Early in the morning a Good Samaritan witnessed a car hit a dog and keep going. The witness, Eric pulled over to check on the dog and called animal control. A Solano County Deputy pulled up to the scene and found Eric comforting the dog. They were both laying in the road, in the pouring rain.
The Deputy snapped a quick picture. Eric stayed by the dogs side until animal control came and took it to the emergency pet clinic. Unfortunately the injured dog passed away.
The man, who wanted to only be known as Eric, wanted no recognition.
