Dodd Named Head Softball Coach

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Lisa Dodd was named the Santa Clara head softball coach on Tuesday.

Dodd, who played and coached in the Pac-12 Conference, spent the last five years at the helm of UNLV where she amassed 121 wins, with a season-high of 26 coming in 2014.

Under her tutelage, the Rebels had nine All-Mountain West First Team selections, including the 2014 MW Player of the Year Garie Blando. The Rebels also had six NFCA All-West Region members in Dodd's five-year tenure.

Her teams exceled in the classroom with four Rebels named MW Scholar-Athletes, including a repeat winner in Emily Haslinger, for maintaining a 3.
