Vlasic, Karlsson return as desperate Sharks look to end skid

SAN JOSE — Defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic and forward Melker Karlsson said they’d both be ready to go Tuesday as the Sharks, looking to end a six-game slide, host the New York Rangers in their first game this season without the injured Logan Couture.

Vlasic missed Saturday’s 7-2 loss to the Nashville Predators with what the team described as the flu, the same reason he missed the Sharks’ March 21 game at Minnesota.

Karlsson has been out for the last eight games with a lower body injury. The Sharks are 2-6 in those games and have allowed the first goal in the last seven.
