When Steven Stamkos visits SAP Center on Saturday night, it might be the last time he does so in a Tampa Bay Lightning jersey.
Stamkos is the biggest name due to hit the unrestricted free-agent market, and his future with the team that drafted him first overall in 2008 is the hardest to forecast. Obviously, the Lightning could keep Stamkos from leaving if they strike a deal on an extension, but it’s hard to determine if that’s even what they want to do.
