The Allen Americans, which are affiliated with the San Jose Sharks, earned a 6-1 victory over the South Carolina Stingrays in Game 7 of the ECHL’s finals to win the Kelly Cup.
Chad Costello, 28, had two goals and an assist, including the championship-winning marker. He dominated the ECHL with 125 points in 72 contests during the regular season while the next best player, Wade MacLeod, finished with 80 points.
