Pavelski scratched vs. Flames, ironman streak ends at 495 games

SAN JOSE — Sharks captain Joe Pavelski was scratched from Saturday’s regular season finale with the Calgary Flames, marking the first time he has not dressed for a game since Jan. 13, 2011, a streak of 495 games.

Tomas Hertl and Joel Ward were also scratched from Saturday’s game as the Sharks had a handful of AHL call-ups from the Barracuda in the lineup.

Patrick Marleau centered the first line with Barclay Goodrow and Joonas Donskoi on the wings, and Chris Tierney centered the second line with Jannik Hansen and Mikkel Boedker.

Daniel O’Regan centered the third line with Melker Karlsson and Kevin Labanc and Micheal Haley was in the middle on the fourth line with Marcus Sorensen and Timo Meier.
