Smash Mouth offers Giants’ Tyler Beede a guest spot on song

Whomever runs Smash Mouth’s Twitter handle is clearly ready for some baseball.

First, the San Jose-based band offered to play at A’s pitcher Sean Doolittle’s wedding after his recent engagement. Now, Smash Mouth wants Giants pitcher Tyler Beede to drop some lyrics on its next record.

The band famous for “All-Star” and “I’m A Believer” reached out to Beede on Thursday with an offer.

It’s easy to wonder if Smash Mouth saw the video our multimedia expert Courtney Cronin posted about Beede’s budding rap career or saw the story our Giants beat writer Andrew Baggarly penned on the pitcher.
