SAN FRANCISCO — The Giants had a lot to feel good about before they boarded their plane for Colorado.
The hottest team in the major leagues completed its third three-game sweep of the San Diego Padres this season, winning 4-3 in 10 innings Wednesday when Brandon Crawford launched a walk-off single to the wall in center field.
The shortstop thought a home run would have been cooler.
But, hey, that’s getting a little greedy, given how well the Giants are playing.
