The San Francisco Giants ran smack dab into the middle of one of the hottest teams in baseball, and so far it’s been a disaster. Not only has it been a disaster, but it’s been fairly boring. But that’s about to change. The boring part, at least. I make no guarantees about the disaster.
Ahead of Sunday’s loss to the Philadelphia Phillies, the Giants made a series of moves. Right-handed pitcher Daulton Jefferies was called up, and catcher Jakson Reetz had his contract purchased from AAA Sacramento. In corresponding moves, catcher Tom Murphy was placed on the 10-day Injured List with a left knee sprain, and right-handed pitcher Mitch White was designated for assignment.
