A few suggestions for the Giants after a week of barside conversations at the Lounge:
First off, sign Mike Leake. Do it with dispatch. Yes, he played at Arizona State and lives in Phoenix, but the Diamondbacks can’t match what the Giants’ franchise has to offer. Both sides are amendable, Leake said he wants to make a quick decision, and for heaven’s sake, Bruce Bochy (having known Leake since he was a kid) calls him “Mikie.” ... It’s true that Leake had a largely disappointing stint with the Giants, but it was the end of a long year, and so far in the postseason, Gerrit Cole, David Price, Yordano Ventura and Masahiro Tanaka have come up short.
