Kelby Tomlinson has only played second base this season, but the latest San Francisco Giants news is that Tomlinson could play another position in the future.
According to the Giants own website, Tomlinson plans on preparing himself to play in the outfield for when the injured Joe Panik returns.
It's a move that makes sense for Tomlinson.
"It's something that obviously would increase his value and give him a better opportunity to help the Major League club," bench coach Ron Wotus said.
