DENVER -- All things considered, Bruce Bochy was able to reluctantly accept a split of four long, wet games at Coors Field.
"It was a long three days here, really for both clubs," Bochy said after an 11-2 loss Sunday. "You take a split. You hate to end it like this but their guy pitched well, he pitched really well. He had good stuff and we couldn't do much there. You could tell in the second or third inning there that we had our work cut out."
With Chad Bettis giving up just one hit through seven and taking a shutout into the ninth, Sunday became about getting out of Denver in good shape.
