Giants reinstate, DFA Travis Ishikawa

Travis Ishikawa is finally healthy, but it turns out there's no room on the roster for the postseason star.

Ishikawa finished his rehab assignment Saturday after spending nearly two months recovering from a back strain, but the Giants designated him for assignment on Monday morning.

There is no room on the big league roster since the Giants are carrying 13 pitchers, including eight relievers, to get through a stressful stretch of games. The only other reasonable option was to part ways with Joaquin Arias, but he's now the backup at three infield spots after the Giants DFA'd Casey McGehee on Sunday.
