Giants notes: Joe Panik scratched after reporting concussion symptoms; updates on Duffy, Cain, Romo

SAN FRANCISCO – The Giants thought Joe Panik was out of the woods after he passed three days of concussion tests on the last road trip. But when it comes to brain injuries, the map can be inscrutable at times.

Ten days after getting struck by a pitch on the back of his helmet, Panik reported “feeling a little something there,” to trainers, according to Manager Bruce Bochy. The Giants scratched Panik from Tuesday’s lineup, and were awaiting the results of additional tests before finalizing a roster move.

“We do have some concern there,” Bochy said.
