Giants Splash: Ishikawa cut again; team adds outfielder, reliever

WASHINGTON - Man, if you're Larry Baer and the other Giants investors, you HAVE to hope that Giants are getting a volume discount from the airlines for all these guys they flying up to the big club.

Two new faces appeared today, and both are names you might not know.

Ryan Lollis, an outfielder and 37-round draft pick who has toiled in the minors for seven seasons, was purchased from Triple-A Sacaramento to replace Travis Ishikawa, who was designated for assignment for the second time this season.

Sentiment aside, Ishikawa is a round peg in a square hole right now, a first baseman who can play a little left field.
