Giants' Panik dealing with concussion symptoms from Rays series

SAN FRANCISCO -- Bruce Bochy looked shaken as he gave the latest injury update, and it was hard to blame him. The Giants had to scratch Joe Panik because of concussion-like symptoms, a full 10 days after the second baseman was hit in the head by a pitch during a game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Bochy said Panik passed a concussion test three consecutive days after getting hit. He has played some of his best baseball of the season, and had shown no symptoms off the field. But on Monday night, Panik felt something that sent him back to the trainers.
