As the Giants come home from a 10-game road series to the comfort of AT&T Park they are greeted by one of the most accomplished and legendary Giant of all-time, Willie Mays. The Giants open their home stand against the Colorado Rockies by celebrating the “Say Hey Kid” Willie Mays 80th birthday.
Willie Mays has continued to be an inspiration for up and coming baseball players, even more in the Giants organization. We celebrate the great career of Mr. Mays, whose career stats are nothing less than spectacular batting .302, hitting 660 home runs, 1903 RBI’s, 2062 runs in 2992 games. Willie Mays was the definitive five tool player with the ability to hit, hit for power, run, field and catch.
