MORAGA, Calif. – Battling in another tightly-contested matchup, the University of San Francisco baseball team (24-26, 11-12 WCC) dropped game two of their weekend series at Saint Mary's (24-23, 11-12 WCC), 3-2, as the Gaels bested the Dons by one run on Saturday afternoon at Louis Guisto Field.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Despite both teams getting baserunners on in the opening frame, the Gaels got on the board first on an RBI double from leadoff hitter Gavin Napier in the bottom of the second to claim an early 1-0 lead.
- With both starting pitchers settling in as the middle innings approached, neither USF or Saint Mary's could find much momentum at the plate.
