SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco men's soccer players Leon Schwarzer and Aaron Lombardi were named to the preseason All-West Coast Conference (WCC) team by a vote of the league's eight head coaches, it was announced on Thursday. The Dons were selected to finish sixth in 2017 by a vote of the same panel.
Schwarzer, a senior midfielder from Munster, Germany, earned first team All-WCC honors in his first season on the Hilltop in 2016 after transferring from USC Upstate. Schwarzer tied for the team lead with three goals during WCC play, which also tied for sixth in the conference.
