SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Katerina Filip, guiding the University of San Francisco women's tennis team throughout the 2023-24 season, earned a West Coast Conference Singles Honorable Mention selection, announced by the league Wednesday afternoon.
In her first season with the Dons after having a successful three-year career at Florida Atlantic, Filip accumulated four singles wins throughout the spring season, earning victories over the Academy of Art, Fresno State, Idaho State, and Santa Clara at the first singles flight.
Battling throughout conference play, three of Filip's eight WCC singles matches went the distance, highlighted by a come-from-behind victory over Santa Clara's JennaMarie Gordon, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 on Saturday, Apr.
