Dons Fall to UC Davis in Final Home Game

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – In the final regular season game on the Hilltop, the University of San Francisco baseball team (20-32) dropped a 4-1 decision to UC Davis (25-25) Tuesday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.

  • UC Davis jumped ahead with a run in the opening frame to take a 1-0 lead. The Aggies, aggressive at the plate to begin the game, recorded three straight hits, highlighted by a Damian Stone RBI double to secure the early advantage.
  • Avoiding further damage, starting pitcher Matt McConnell worked around a jam and recorded three straight outs to keep San Francisco in the game.
