Dick Stanfel ’51 Enshrined in Hall of Fame

CANTON, Ohio – Offensive lineman Dick Stanfel became the fifth USF Pro Football Hall of Famer when he was enshrined posthumously on Aug. 6. Stanfel's family was on hand to take part in the ceremony, where Stanfel was enshrined alongside the rest of this year's Hall of Fame Class of Tony Dungy, Brett Favre, Kevin Greene, Marvin Harrison, Orlando Pace, Ken Stabler and Eddie DeBartolo, Jr.

Stanfel went on to win three NFL Championships as a player and coach after an outstanding playing career at USF that was preceded by military service.
