A Bloomberg story about Steve Young's non-football business interests is garnering plenty of attention after the 49ers legend admitted he "spends no more than an hour or two at the stadium preparing his commentary" for ESPN and "barely watches the action" once the game has started.
Instead, Bloomberg reports that Young is busy on the sidelines "schmoozing people connected to the private equity firm, HGGC, that he co-founded a decade ago."
Young told Bloomberg that he might have quit his ESPN gig years ago, but his private equity partners like him to "keep a high profile.
