The offensive run continues.
With their second pick in the fifth round, the 49ers selected Louisiana Tech wide receiver Trent Taylor, the fourth straight offensive skill-position player they’ve grabbed after starting their draft with three defensive players.
Taylor, 5-foot-8 and 182 pounds, is a slot receiver and punt returner who finished ranked third in the FBS among active career leaders in receptions (327) and fourth in receiving yards (4,179). Last year, he had 136 catches for 1,803 yards and 12 touchdowns. He led the nation in receiving yards and was second in receptions.
