MENLO PARK — At a 49ers alumni weekend back in November, John Paye found out former teammate Tim McKyer shared a tragic loss in the family.
It’s the reason McKyer, 54, flew in from West Palm Beach, Florida, at the end of May for the fourth annual Inside Anne’s Closet Fashion Show.
“I lost my mother to colon cancer and it’s the rest of my life now,” said McKyer, who grew up in Port Arthur, Texas
“Most people after 50 have to go for a colonoscopy once every 10 years, I have to go twice because of that.
