Preparations for Chip Kelly continue in advance of his introductory press conference on Wednesday, January 20 as new head coach of the San Francisco 49ers.
Citing a source with knowledge of the situation, Mike Florio of NBC Sports’ Pro Football Talk reported the 49ers have parted ways with a number of assistant coaches in the wake of former head coach Jim Tomsula’s firing at the tail end of the 2015 NFL season.
The 49ers released 10 coaches, according to the report.
