The San Francisco 49ers earned their third win of the 2018 season on Sunday, beating the Denver Broncos 20-14 behind a monster performance from George Kittle. He set a franchise record for tight end receiving yards in a game and in a season, and has a real shot at surpassing Rob Gronkowski’s single season record for tight end receiving yards.
The defense stepped up in a big way, rattling Case Keenum much of the day and shutting down standout rookie running back Phillip Lindsay. The Broncos made things close late, but the 49ers offense did just enough late to close it out.
