It was reported earlier in the week that Denver had planned to release Gregory. Instead, they send him and a 2024 seventh round draft pick to San Francisco in exchange for a 2024 sixth round pick.
Denver will also pick up all but the veteran minimum of Gregory’s salary for the remainder of 2024. Gregory has no guaranteed money remaining on his contract beyond this season.
Although Gregroy has dealt with injuries and a social anxiety disorder which led to him using marijuana. This is no longer a banned substance in the NFL.
Longtime Cowboys announcer Brad Sham had positive comments about Gregory.
