Richard Sherman jumped into the daily fantasy sports game Thursday when the 49ers cornerback announced he’ll launch a daily fantasy sports site.
Sherman, who will make his long-awaited 49ers debut on Saturday, said he and co-founder Tom McAuley have designed Daily Number, a website they say will make it easier for casual fans to play daily fantasy sports.
Unlike traditional daily fantasy contests, Daily Number won’t have bettors competing against each other. Entrants will choose seven-player rosters that must surpass a predetermined fantasy point total set by the site. While there’s no limit to which players bettors select, the payoffs for beating the “Daily Number” are determined by your roster’s overall rating — higher-rated rosters get lower payouts.
