The San Francisco 49ers have promoted Daniel Kilgore, an interior offensive lineman who can play both guard and center, to the active roster prior to their trip to Chicago to take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday (12 pm CT, 10 am PT).
Kilgore, a very talented lineman whose absence has been felt all season, spent the earlier portion of this season on the Injured Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list before his three week practice window was opened, along with that of rookie wide receiver DeAndre Smelter, on November 16th.
