It appears that 49ers GM John Lynch is far from done looking to free agency to help a roster that was left bereft of talent under former GM Trent Baalke’s watch.
Per Ian Rappoport of NFL Network the 49ers are having restricted free agent defensive end Jacquies Smith come to the bay area for a visit. Smith registered 13.5 combined sacks in the 2014 and 2015 seasons, the last two years he was healthy.
If Smith is a player that Lynch feels can help the 49ers with their significant pass rushing needs, don’t expect him to leave without an offer.
