The San Francisco 49ers made waves yet again as they released Jarryd Hayne to make room for the newly-promoted Kendall Gaskins. What should 49ers fans expect from the Richmond product?
Gaskins, who has been with the 49ers practice squad for the past season and a half of his short NFL career, is a third year player out of Richmond. At 6′ 1″ 238 lbs, Gaskins is an inch shorter and nearly 20 pounds heavier than the man he is replacing. This should allow him to help out in short yardage situations as well as in the crucial passing game as he will be called upon to protect Colin Kaepernick.
