I imagine we have a decent number of current and former IT people visiting Niners Nation, and I’m hoping some of you can dumb this down for me and the rest of us. The San Francisco 49ers announced on Tuesday that they have formed a partnership with Datrium, who they describe as, “the leader in tier 1 hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) for hybrid clouds.” The team announced that Datrium will be the, “official converged infrastructure provider.”
I’ve embedded the 49ers’ press release below, and I’d love to hear how people interpret it. Someone told me it basically means they are adding a professional server room.
