49ers news focuses on George Kittle, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is looking for a long-term contract extension worth north of $10 MM a year. Kittle has said that he will play this season without a new extension so the thought of a holdout seems out of the picture, however, if the two sides are unable to reach a deal Kittle will have all of the leverage going into the 2020 NFL season.
