Reggie Bush, a new member of the San Francisco 49ers backfield, wants to return punts again. The USC product and former member of the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions has previously been considered among the best punt returners in the NFL, though the last punt he returned was in 2011.
The 49ers, by contrast, averaged a measly 6.5 yards per punt return in 2014, 28th in the NFL. Bruce Ellington took back most of the punts last season for San Francisco, after LaMichael James decided he no longer wanted to be a member of the 49ers.
