SI’s Mike Silver says Jimmy G could be benched in 2019 if he doesn’t meet expectations & Nick Mullens could get another chance to win the 49ers starting QB job. Garoppolo hasn’t played in more than 6 games in a season during his career, so his durability is definitely something to keep an eye on. All eyes will be on Jimmy G as he is set to start for the first time since week 3 of 2018, in which he tore his ACL.
