In 49ers rumors, the Denver Broncos are reportedly interested in the 49ers backup QBs & Broncos GM John Elway has called John Lynch about Nick Mullens & C.J. Beathard. 49ers Report host Thomas Mott breaks down some potential trade scenarios regarding these Broncos - 49ers trade rumors. John Lynch also said that the 49ers have received calls about their depth at defensive line. The 49ers are loaded with defensive linemen & they could potentially trade away a valuable asset such as Solomon Thomas, Arik Armstead or Sheldon Day.

The 49ers roster will be trimmed down to 53 players on Saturday & San Francisco has already made some roster moves, most notably cutting LB Malcolm Smith, who will be replaced by Dre Greenlaw. The 49ers also signed CB Jordan Holland because CB Tim Harris has been placed on IR due to a groin injury. In other 49ers injury updates, Dee Ford & George Kittle have returned to practice, which is a good sign for the team ahead of the 2019 NFL season.
