More than 3,500 cancer survivors and supporters will converge Saturday at Petco Park for Padres Pedal the Cause, the San Diego-based nonprofit’s largest annual fund-raising event.
To date, Padres Pedal the cause has donated more than $10 million to four San Diego-based cancer research teams: Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego Health, the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute and Rady Children’s hospital.
Saturday’s event includes four cycling routes that cross the Coronado Bay Bridge (25, 55, 88 and 100 miles), stationary spin classes including an 11 a.m. session with Tony Gwynn Jr.
