Ever since he signed with the Padres last year — and increasingly in 2019 — this young Padres team has reminded him in many ways of the Royals teams he helped take from worst to first.
Along the way to whatever their newfound relevance brings, the Padres this week made another stop that took Hosmer back — at Camden Yards, a smallish American League park where balls fly.
