PHOENIX -- Padres manager Andy Green made the half-hour trek to Peoria on Friday morning for a chance to see about 70 of the team's prospects in action in instructional ball.
Those prospects returned the favor Friday night, when the Padres invited their instructional league players to Chase Field to watch their series opener against the D-backs.
Green was strictly an observer in Peoria on Friday, but he'll address the group Saturday morning.
"I watched some really impressive 16- and 17-year-old athletes take infield and move around the diamond," Green said. "I watched some really good BP, watched drill work.
